This easy-to-afford bike comes with an air-cooled, 4-stroke OHC type engine with a displacement of 97.2 cc. The engine has the support of a single cylinder. Hero Honda CD Dawn develops 7.7 Ps of peak power at 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 0.77 kg-m at 6000 rpm. The Hero Honda CD Dawn has a 4-speed constant mesh type transmission and multiplate wet clutch.

The Crux-S inherits the previous Crux's four-stroke, air-cooled, 106cc, single cylinder engine that generates a peak power of 7.3 PS at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 7.85 Nm at 6,000 rpm. However, a new air induction system has been added to increase air intake for better burn and cleaner exhausts. The four-speed gearbox provides excellent feedback and vibration is virtually non-existent.

The engine power of the Platina reaches a maximum of 8.2bhp at 7500rpm and torque to the engine is 0.82kgm at 4500rpm.The bike is equipped with ExhausTEC technology that is Torque Expansion Chamber for the exhaust system. ExhausTEC helps enhanced torque at low revolutions without affecting the performance in Torque in case of high or medium revolutions.
